The foundation for the development of The Prophetic Order of Mar Elijah is based upon I Kings 19: 19 through II Kings 2:17. These passages illustrate a prototype of Mar Elijah’s mission in raising up 300 prophets. In the story found in I Kings, the prophet Elijah told the Lord that the vision and dream he’s been commissioned to do is too big for him to accomplish alone. God told Elijah about a remnant that did not bow their knees to Baal; a remnant that was able to walk in the same anointing and revelation as himself. Elijah understood the wisdom, and started duplicating himself within the confines of a Prophetic Order. In studying the life of his protégé’ Elisha, we are able to trace the process of mentoring that led to the manifestation of the double portion of Elijah’s spirit. In like manner, you, as a Neophyte of The Prophetic Order of Mar Elijah, will have the opportunity to reap the prophetic mantle of Mar Elijah!
