Tithing: Tycoons’ Secret to Prosperity

The measure your giving is never measured by the amount given, but by the amount that remains after you have given.

Every truly wealthy person knows, understands, and practices the principle of tithing. In fact, some of the richest people on earth regularly practice this wonderful habit.  A tithe is simply giving one tenth of your income away to a cause, which you believe has value, especially spiritual value to bless and uplift the lives of others.  In the bible the tithe specifically was given to the priests to sustain the priesthood. In turn, God would bless the land by causing the businesses to flourish because of their obedience in taking care of the house of God. The tithe is generally given to the house that feeds you spiritually, where you get your spiritual nourishment.

What is making you withhold the tithe?

Season of Plating Financial Seeds

And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the

people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich

cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she

threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And he called

onto him his disciples, and saith onto them …

This entire verse deals with the offering. People were giving in the offering and Jesus was standing right next to the money basket. I want you to notice that Jesus did not refuse the offerings, but rather received them. The Bible teaches that you cannot serve God and mammon (money), but you must serve God with mammon. So then, if you do not have mammon, you cannot serve God. Jesus uses this poor widow as an example for businesspersons and people of all faiths to realize. The emphasis was not so much on how much this woman gave, but rather how much was left over after she gave. The measure of your giving is never measured by the amount given, but by the amount that remains after you have given. There are people who are rich that often give one hundred dollars here or maybe one thousand dollars there. They give not necessarily in faith but rather because one hundred or one thousand dollars seems to be a lot of money to many people, but really it isn’t for them. All giving that pleases God requires faith. When you give, your giving must require faith, not convenience. There are people that made less than minimum wage and by faith gave one hundred dollar seed offerings until they became wealthy. For them, that took great faith.  However a person that makes $100.00 per hour, may need to stretch a bit further in their faith and give far more than that to really please God with their giving. A near billionaire once gave our ministry $1000.00. Spirit told me not to deposit the check at all. I did not want to send the person the message that the church was desperate for his money.

His seed did not represent a faithful commitment on his part. If anything, his seed was really a sloppy tip.  Please don’t misunderstand me. I am not implying that this man was obligated to give anything.  That was his free will. What I am saying is that when it comes to giving especially to those things that are spiritual in nature, there needs to be a standard set by spiritual leaders of that which is acceptable toward God.  This same person would not have any problem buying gaudy showy wear to impress his friends, or give hundreds of thousands of dollars toward causes that would yield him a kickback.

Every businessperson must understand that genuine heartfelt giving is not about kickbacks or even tax benefits, although there is nothing wrong with taking the benefits that the government affords you.  My point is that the highest level of giving is when you give in faith toward a spiritual cause, and know within that spirit will reward you for your heartfelt giving. That’s giving at it’s best.

What is keeping you from giving your best to God?

The Prosperous Dream Big Because They Have a Big God

Get a dream big enough to require the supernatural events of God. Put yourself in debt for God. Stretch yourself beyond measure; because you are not humanity, you are divinity. Get a dream that forces the divine intervention of God in you. If it is within your budget, it is not God. Get a dream big enough to require every ounce of faith present in your system. When you get those kinds of dreams, you stop fellowshipping with three by five minds because you become fifteen by twenty rooms psychologically and spiritually.  If you fail to birth the dream God has planted in you, you will become bitter and angry. People that are bitter and angry are people that have failed to birth the dream that God put in them as a seed. Bitterness is simply a response to their displacement. If you do not give birth to your vision, you will lash out at others who are taking giant steps in a small world. When God plants a seed in you, and you do not fulfill that seed, or birth that destiny, you will begin to believe that other people are the reason why you are not successful in life. They will become your problem. Success breeds its own enemies. If you do not give birth to your vision, you will start talking like a victim instead of a victor.

What vision do you think God wants you to give birth to?

The Limitation of Lack is Not From God

I will tell you this; poverty is the root of all evil. The lack of money is the root of all evil. When you do not have money, you do not have answers. And Peter calling to remembrance saith onto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. Jesus reached his hand into the fig tree, and because it did not produce any figs, he cursed it. How many lives have you reached into that were supposed to produce something for you and did not, and you allowed them to remain standing? We are talking about economics. And no matter how much you may try to ignore it, economics and spirituality walk side by side in harmony. That is God’s best for you.

The love for money is the root of evil, because you are running after it, because you lack it. Said in another way, poverty is the root of evil.

Are you running after money today? Are you “loving” money?

If You Do Not Increase Me, You are the Devil

You will be able to say, I really do not mean any harm, I really do love you, but we are not going to be able to make it together, I added the figures up on the paper. Unfortunately, I am running negative numbers here, and I have to be in the company of those that increase my value. Here is a warning: there will be people that will try to prohibit you from doing that, saying that you are in sin.  In all reality you are only acting like God. God gave Israel a bill of divorce because they were not profitable.

Whenever there is unexpressed possibility, or a function not performed, there is unsatisfied desire. Desire is possibility seeking expression or function seeking performance. There is no one as misunderstood as God. So, get over it ! When people say to you, “I don’t understand what you do or why you do it,” answer them, “You aren’t supposed to.” If you learn to answer people like that, that’ll usually end the conversation long before it becomes wasted time. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

What is a possibility you need to express, a function you need to perform, or a Godly desire you need to satisfy?

Your Prosperity is God’s Pleasure

The devil is around you all day. He is loyal, but very unfaithful. Some of you have a devil around you, calling it a friend, because you are not able to discern what productivity is from what it is not. If you do not increase me, you are the devil. Learn to discern the devils that are around you. Now, if that person is a devil, you flee from them. That means they have no business with them in your life, because they will distract you from your assignment. You are either increasing me or decreasing me. You are either promoting me or setting me back. You are either adding to me or subtracting from me. You are either making a deposit in me, or a withdrawal from me. You are either multiplying me or dividing me. If you had this teaching 20 or 30 years ago, I’m sure that you would have had another group of friends. Some of you are walking with parasites. That is not a friend. Do not call anybody a friend unless they are willing to die for you. If they are not willing to die for you, they are not your friends. You have to look people in the eye and ask, “Since you have been around me, has my value gone up or down?” People get divorces because one of the parties involved began calculating the value of the relationship. When they discovered that they were giving far more than they were receiving, they opted out of the relationship. So, when you start learning how to add, you are going to learn how to get rid of people.

Is God pleased with you today? In other words, are you being prosperous?

Are You Rich Enough Today?

You can become what you want to become only by making use of things. Make use of things. You can have free use of things only as you become rich enough to buy them. You have free use of things only when you become rich enough to buy it, rich enough to get it. Are you rich enough?

What is a THING you are praying to have? Why do you want to have this thing and how can it honor God?

What Are You Praying For?

Life is like an elevator. If you do not push your own buttons to the floor you want to get off on, somebody else will. Somebody is pushing your buttons. Some of you may not have known that there is a life outside of the elevator. You have just been riding the elevator of life, up and down, and you have been so backwards you have been calling the elevator a train. You and no one else but you, must order the things for your life that is to come about in your life. What have you ordered for your life?

You and no one else but you, must order the things for your life that is to come about in your life. The man, who owns everything he wants in life, is truly rich. Make sure that you live life to the highest potential, or the highest level, generating an income that matches your passion and desire. It is time to live! Every person naturally wants to become all that he is capable of becoming. This desire to realize innate possibilities is inherent in human nature. We cannot help wanting to be all that we can be. You have within you the desire to want more, because in you is the seed of God that is demanding its own expression. You cannot help it. God puts the craving in you to desire the best in life.

Stop trying to fight it. Don’t resist it. You cannot help wanting to be all that you can be. The reason is because you are filled with destiny. You are filled with divine life. Because of that, you have an appetite for the finer things of life. You just can’t help it. God has put that desire in you, and your life will never feel full and satisfied until you live out the desire that He put in your heart in the first place. Your job on this planet and on this plain is to empty yourself of every desire before you die.

How Much Are You Worth?

Some time ago, a Jewish man, learned in Cabalistic studies, told me a story. He said there was a king who asked his friend, “How much are you worth?” The friend replied, “Give me three days and I will come back and tell you how exactly how much I am worth.” When he came back, his friend reported, “I’m worth 2.3 million dollars.” The king furiously rebutted saying, “How could you tell me something so crazy as that?” With that the king threw his friend in jail. The king’s reason for putting his friend in prison was that he knew that his friend owned many properties, some spanning entire city blocks, adding up all of this massive real estate would be far more than a mere 2.3 million dollars. So he went to jail for lying.  While in jail, the king paid his friend a visit, and wanted to know why he would commit such an atrocious act of lying to the king.  He asked, “Why didn’t you just tell me the truth about your worth?  You have many assets, more than anyone in my kingdom.  Why would you try and deceive me?”  Without flinching one bit, his friend stood his ground answering, “I told the truth you majesty, that is all I am worth. I can even prove it to you. Since I’ve been in this prison you have seized all of my assets. I do not have access to my bank accounts; I cannot buy nor sell my own property, which I worked hard to obtain. Furthermore, I cannot even see my real estate since I’m locked up in this horrible cell. Your government has taken it all back from me.” He continued, “However the one thing that I do have, the only thing that cannot be repossessed is the seed that I’ve sown.  There is no way for you to take that away from me.  I have given 2.3 million dollars away, and have sown the money with a goodly conscience. So I do know for sure that I am worth this amount. The material assets are too volatile for me to invest  my confidence in. The houses, the vehicles, and the bank accounts really did not belong to me. If they did, you could not take them away.” “You can never take away my seed, that is what I am worth.” I ask you, “How much are you worth?”  You may say, “Well, I’m worth about $100,000, since you earn $100,000.00 annually. If that is what you are basing your decision on, you are really busted. You are only worth that which you have given away. This is why every businessperson should fully endorse and demonstrate the principle of tithing. Tithing is the only way to be worth more than what you actually own, since tithing multiplies manifold riches into your life in an exponential way. All of the things that you think you own, the IRS can come in and take it away, whether legitimately or illegitimately. You can even lose your property in a lawsuit. But your true worth, that which you have given away to charity and to spiritual things cannot be taken away. Knowing this, it would make far better sense, financial sense, to begin to give money away, to give as much as you can, to goodly causes and Godly causes to increase your worth.
