CHRIST WITHIN

I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus Christ (Galatians 6:17).

Beloved, now we are the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we

shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for

we shall see him as he is (1 John 3:2).

We don’t teach that Jesus is coming soon. We believe he’s already come…in us.  He has already appeared. He has appeared in our consciousness, and behold, we have seen him as He is. We understand Christ on another level. We do respect that there are other Christians—and you may know such people—who still tilt their heads toward the clouds because that’s where they think Christ is. We don’t try to correct them by saying, “You’re looking in the wrong direction.” They have to find him within themselves.

We know we have found that it is God in us, revealed in us. Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). We understand. We’ve reached that level of revelation and illumination. Many continue to work hard to gain favor and brownie points with God, but we know that in Him, we live, and move, and have our being (Acts 17:28).

How does knowing that the Christ who is in you is the hope of glory? How does it shift your perspective of the situation? How does it change your emotions about your current  situation?

If the God who is in you is eternal, then what does that mean for your temporary situation? You cannot look for God elsewhere but within your life. You are a believer and you are hidden in the Lord Jesus Christ. When God the Father sees you, He sees His Son.

He sees the righteousness of Jesus. You are blessed because you are wearing a Jesus-disguise. Instead of seeing a sinner, God sees the Son of God.

As the Son of the Father, what can you access? What can you do? What must you do? If you are hidden in the Lord, then you must become like Jesus Christ. It is God’s plan and desire  for your life. It is the being that will bless and benefit you the most.

“AS IF” IT’S DONE

From last week’s post, the truth is we got in there by being smooth operators. Like Jacob, I’d worn a disguise. I was the wrong man, but I had the right feeling. Of course, after we got in, we had to believe God would help us pay for it, because that place was something. God did help us. We were never late with a payment. You have to make the leap in your own mind, and then you have to do whatever it takes to make it happen. God will honor it once you’re full of the feeling.

We continued to feel our way through. We felt our way into Brooklyn and purchased a building there. We didn’t know how we were able to do that, because the facts didn’t add up. But the feeling was strong. We purchased a building and a house in the same month, we paid it off in three years, and then we felt our way back. The next thing we knew, we were appearing on Sunday morning BET. We had felt our way right onto television. All over Brooklyn, people were saying about me, “He’s the wrong person.”

If I were the wrong person, those things wouldn’t have happened. God would have shut those doors and we can never really do anything to open the doors God shut. It’s not biblical to say, “When God shuts a door, he opens a window.” No, when God shuts a door, no one can open it. No one can force their way through what is against the will of the Lord. But when He opens a door, God will say, “See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut” (Rev. 3:8).

The door will always be open for you, if God wills it for you. However, God did not say He’ll push you through that door. If you don’t feel the open door is for you, then you won’t go through it. Even when God intends you to, if you don’t choose to obey because you trusted your deceitful heart, rather than His prophetic word, then you will miss out on what is on the other side of that door.

Have you been looking for an open door to be used for the Lord’s Kingdom? Won’t it benefit you to operate in the prophetic in all areas of your life. This year, I want to gift you this FREE Course and experience the Power of Prophecy as a gift to open your mind to receive the Mind of Christ.

Get Emotional in Prayer

Reverend Ike used to teach that it was important to get emotional in prayer. Get emotional about the thing you’re feeling.  Do you pray like you’re simply going through the motions? Do you pray as if you just want the task done, so you can tell the Lord, “God, I prayed today. I did my part. Do yours.” But you were not there. You were not really present. Your emotions were flat.

The Doral Inn was a hotel at 49th Street and Lexington Avenue right across from the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. We felt like we were supposed to be having services on Lexington Avenue. We had some rich white members at the time, and I told them we wanted to move into Manhattan and that I needed them to do was easier to have rich white men negotiate with other rich white men.

When negotiations were over, it was time for me to sign the contract. When I arrived, their mouths dropped, and the woman in the room said, “No.” I’ll never forget it. She said to the white men who had done the negotiating on my behalf, “Listen. This isn’t what you told me.” I said, “We’re going to sign this contract. And we’re in here for the next six months. And you’re going to honor this price.”

People around you may be saying “no” too, but you need to take your stand. You cannot let the giants overpower you. David was not supposed to be “the guy” to fight Goliath. But he was the only one who felt he can beat him. This feeling made all the difference, didn’t it? It made the difference for him, for Israel, and for history of humanity. Just because he had the audacity to trust what he felt he can do.

YOUR FEELINGS REVEAL WHAT YOU BELIEVE

Come close, “idea of money,” that I might feel you to see if you are really the divine idea of money. Don’t allow the enemy of your mind to snatch your feelings away from you. Maybe you have a negative cousin who said, “Who are you to think you can live like that?” Other relatives might say that you aren’t rich now, and you never will be. What they say doesn’t matter. Keep yourself clothed with that feeling within. I had loved ones in my family who knew I was the wrong one for the life I’m living now when I was just getting started living it. I remember living in apartments, driving Flintstone-mobiles and wearing second-hand or clearance rack clothes. Even then, I was calling myself rich. Even when it was a strain to give a $100 seed.

The Lord has been faithful, hasn’t He? He has not put me to shame. I believe, the same God I believe is the same Lord Jesus Christ who is going to create in you a new hope for your future. What you have right now, and where you are right now, or what people say about you right now are irrelevant, as long as in your heart and mind, you have faith in what is unseen. You are sure in your heart of the things you’re hoping for.

You are in your situation right now, not because God is late, or because God is a liar, or because God is not good. You are in this situation, so you can give glory to God. People can see how it is only God who can turn your situation around into something so opposite, something so wonderful, that people would not be able to deny you are serving the One True God. Are you ready for this responsibility?

Feelings in Being

If you give personality to a lie, the lie must act in your life. I started having more victory in my life as soon as I stopped blaming the enemy for everything that is wrong with my life. If I preach at a church and say the devil is a liar, the church may understand what I’m saying on one level, but I mean it on another. For those of us who operate in divine insight, we know the devil is the enemy of our minds. The Bible tells us to give no place to who? The devil.

The only place the devil has in your life is the place you give it with your attention. If you talk the devil up, you will experience the devil. You will experience a lie—but it is a lie you are giving power.

Jacob says his father will feel him. Father will also feel you. He always feels you, but you must feel, first. You receive the blessings you feel. If you are a pauper in spirit, saying, “I don’t have,” you will never have.

For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an

abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken

away from him (Matthew 13:12).

What shall you declare to the Lord about your being? Who are you? Write down your “I  Am’s” right now. Are you really aware of what you desire to become? You feel it in your heart, but have you ever truly listened to it?

Have you ever really focused on what you are making the Father feel? Are you feeling like a worthless loser in poverty? How come? Jesus purchased you with the highest price — his blood. What do you think the Father will feel when you think you’re anything other than a redeemed, righteous, and hold child of God?

THE FEELING IS RIGHT

Many people are the wrong people, but because they have the right feelings, they feel themselves to riches. They feel themselves blessed. They feel themselves as the entrepreneur. When you feel the right feeling, you will get the right response.

Reverend Ike taught me to start feeling like success until I became successful. When I met him, I lived in a house. Shortly thereafter, I lived in a mansion. Why? Because I started feeling “I AM the mansion.” I started feeling like a Rolls Royce, and Rolls Royce’s came to me. I learned and applied the Changeless Law.

My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing (Genesis 27:12).

Jacob, Abraham, Moses, or Paul — none of them were the “right” people according to  the standards of the world. Jacob was not the firstborn. Abraham was old, and his wife was barren. Moses was hiding in the wilderness. Paul persecuted Christians. However, it is because of their relationship with God that they felt right about claiming what the world does not think belongs to them. They were aware of their weaknesses. They were aware of the present reality.

They didn’t let it dictate what they felt. Because God called them, in their hearts, it felt right.   Don’t get me wrong. These men are human beings. In their minds, they are probably thinking they’re crazy because what they were doing was not the most logical thing. They obeyed anyway. They allowed their faith to build up their emotions so that they can obey the Lord.

What are you feeling right now? Is this feeling what you would be feeling if all of God’s promises were answered? If not, then you need to change the way you’re feeling. Feel as if your breakthrough is already there. As you begin to feel this way, you’ll see that your circumstances will begin to match what you’re feeling.

THE CHANGELESS LAW

One of the techniques Reverend Ike has taught me to use to get what I want is the Changeless Law. The Changeless Law is feeling. Feeling, once again, is the infallible technique to get what you want. Remember: life may say you are the wrong person, but the blessing will come to you regardless, because you have the right feeling. As we move through the story of Jacob and Esau and discover Jacob is the wrong one, we soon understand that it is the feeling that gets the blessing. Jacob is not, in terms of fact, entitled, because the blessing is supposed to go to the first-born. But, as we discover, he feels like the first-born, and that makes all the difference.

You might be the wrong person to sit in first class. Even so, if you have the feeling that you are entitled to be in first class, somehow, you will end up not sitting in coach. You might be the wrong person to be in the mansion, but if you feel like you “fit” in a mansion and you feel “I AM that mansion,” that mansion is the very home you should live in.

You are capable of having the right feelings. Do not second-guess the goodness of God. You may think, this is not for me, then if you feel it, the Lord will honor your choice. However, if you begin to see beyond the giants you are facing in your life, and you begin to be strong and courageous. You begin to move in audacious faith. God will honor this.

What are you feeling wrong about? Do you feel you do not deserve to be free from debt? Do you feel you don’t deserve to be successful? Cancel out these feelings. Guard your heart, and set your heart upon the blessings of the Lord.

Money Techniques 101

And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of

Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O

Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so

shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper (King

James Version, 2 Chronicles 20:20).

They rose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa;

and when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, O

Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, put your trust in the Lord your God

and you will be established. Put your trust in his prophets and succeed”

(New American Standard Bible, 2 Chronicles 20:20 NASB).

2 Chronicles 20:20 will give you 20/20 vision.  A lot of times, our vision is blurred by so many different things. When a person needs glasses, it’s because the eyes’ vision is not 20/20. In the same way, when the direction we have in life is unclear, it’s because we need glasses, or we need something that will help our vision go back to 20/20. The role of prophets in the 21th century is to act like your prescription glasses, correcting your vision to its rightful state.

Our vision gets blurry because of so many reasons. The circumstance, the people around us, Satan, our personal fears and doubts, or the busyness of life can limit our vision. When we hear a prophetic word from the prophet, the prophet restores our vision to what it should be. The prophet helps us focus back on the promises of God, or He can give clarity to where God wants us to be. What is God’s prophetic word for you in this season?

Prayer Changes Feelings

Your prayer must modify your feelings. That is what it means to pray through. You have to pray through your facts and into your feelings. All that tarrying on the altar, that waiting for God, was an effort to have you “pray through.” How am I praying through? I pray through by moving past my facts. Pray through, pressing on until your facts no longer make sense in the context of your feelings, until your feelings are the only things speaking your truth, and until you are sowing into your own abundance.

Your emotions are powerful to dictate your situation and your future. However, you must not trust your current emotions. Sometimes, your emotions are dictated by the lack or the giants you see in the current. However, let your prayers shape your emotions. Declare the promises of God and His prophetic word for your life, and allow it to impact how you feel right now.  Do you need to feel abundance? What does the Bible say about abundance? Jesus said he came to give you an abundant life. How do you feel about that promise? Do you feel worried?

Jesus said, do not worry because he takes care of everything. How does that make you feel? Do you feel tired? Jesus said, his burden is light. How does that make you feel? Declare and pray according to the Word of God, and allow it to give you new feelings.

The Power of Feelings

On the subject of feeling the money, I want to just say a couple of things. Feeling is a technique to get what you want. When you look at the story Jacob and Esau, Rebekah represents the subconscious, or subjective, and Isaac, Jacob’s father, represents the objective mind, or the conscious mind. The mother, in this case Rebekah (subconscious), instructs the son how to get the blessing. The mother teaches the son the technique to use to get what he wants. How to get what you want takes a technique.

And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I might

eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. And Rebekah heard when

Isaac spake to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt for

venison, and to bring it (Genesis 27:4-5).

The subconscious always hears your desires, and it understands there is a technique to getting the blessing. The subconscious is always feeling you, because God gives you what you feel.

Are you saying you trust God, but in your heart, you are fearful that the next set of bills and expenses would come and you would come up short? Your emotions reveal your faith. What you are feeling is the true testimony of what you believe in. Sometimes, your mind can control how you speak and think. Your heart is the wellspring of life. It will reveal what is in your deepest, darkest thoughts.

Guard your heart. The Bible tells you to watch for what your heart is making you feel. Do not disregard your emotions. They reveal so much of what you are truly believing. Check your heart and see if you need to get re-rooted in the Word of God.
